Olive Rayner

1922 - 2018

Olive Rayner passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on August 6th, 2018. She was born February 25th, 1922 in Dover, England to George and Fanny May Stock. She married Bill Rayner on September 12th, 1942. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple in 1951. They immigrated with their family to the United States in 1949.

Olive was an active member of the LDS Church and served in various capacities throughout her life. She lived a long life and loved to share her stories of England and World War II. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her children Peter (Kathy), Susan (Brent) Petersen, Julie Tolman and daughter-in-law Susan Rayner; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren with one more on the way. Preceded in death by her loving husband; son Keith; daughter Nancy; grandson Hunter Hall; and son-in-law Dave Tolman.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 13th at 11:00 AM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.), Sandy. Friends may call upon the family Sunday, August 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and again one hour prior to services all at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
