Paul Edward Ott returned to his heavenly home, Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the age of 62.  He was born the fifth of six children in Salt Lake City, Utah to Glen and Nettie Ott.  His family had many nicknames for him, including Eddard, Durwood, Delbert, Fuzz, Fuzzard, Fuzzy and if mom was angry, PAUL EDWARD OTT!  Most of those that knew and love him, called him Ed.

Ed graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City in 1979.  He was a natural poet.  Those he was close to would often receive funny or eloquent poems written specifically for them.  Ed loved collecting carnival glass and has quite the collection.  He has two curio cabinets, plus, full of his collections.

Ed also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and traveling.  Recently, he purchased a camper with his wife, Kelly.  They enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with on another on adventures in their camper.

He was a natural poet.  Those he was close to would often receive funny or eloquent poems

Most of Ed’s career was spent working for Harland Clarke Publishing, where he held several supervisorial positions.  He also made lifelong friendships while working at Harland.  Ed was civic minded and enjoyed following politics, and served as a county delegate for the Republican party.

Ed married Melinda Connor in 1982 and became a stepfather to Melinda’s son, Michael.  Together they had a daughter, Desirae.  They divorced in 2001.  In 2002, Ed met his soul mate, Kelly Stromberg Aldridge.  The married in the Jordan River Temple in April 2003.  Together they shared a loving relationship and many loving memories.  He became the stepfather to Kelly’s two sons, Travis and Josh.

Ed is survived by his wife Kelly; daughter Desirae; stepson Michael Floisant, Travis and Josh Aldridge; grandchildren Kaiden, Joven, Olivia, Boyd, Charly and Bonnie; mother Nettie; sister Pat Ames; brother Kenneth (Janai) Ott and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.  He was preceded in death by his father Glen; sisters Diane, Paula Jean (his twin) and Glenda.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Deerfield Ward Chapel, 4322 South 5400 West, West Valley City, Utah.  A visitation with the family will be prior to services from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM.

Interment at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah.
