Peggy Meryhew, age 90, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born in Salt Lake City on June 1, 1935, to Clarence and Gertrude Miller.
She loved conversation and always had a witty comeback, a quick laugh, or a bit of practical advice to share. Peggy was the strong and dependable center of her family, always willing to care for grandchildren, arrange family gatherings, or prepare a meal meant to be enjoyed together.
For 59 years, she was a devoted wife who brought balance to her beloved husband, Robert. Together, they raised a family, traveled, and shared a playful sense of humor.
For the past six years, Peggy lived at the Legacy House of Taylorsville. She found many friends among the staff and fellow residents and deeply appreciated their care and companionship in her final years.
She is survived by her son, Richard Meryhew; her daughters, Cindy (Kevin) Wilde, Mary Meryhew, and Robyn (KJ) Larsen; her brother, Bud Miller; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Gertrude Miller; her husband, Robert Meryhew; her brother, Ronald Miller; her daughter-in-law, Karol Meryhew; and her stepson, Steve Meryhew.
A viewing will be held on January 30, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, located in the Viewing Room at 3401 S. Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah, 84106.
The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the same location, in the Chapel of Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
