Ray Lewellyn Barney, 83, passed away on January 16, 2023 at his home in West Valley, Utah. He was born on February 8th, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Max Barney and Ida (Jones) Barney. He was married to Thelma Joyner on February 14, 1962.

Ray liked hunting and fishing, and loved to travel in his RV across the Western United States. Ray built two homes from the ground up for his family, and he was especially proud of that accomplishment.

He is survived by his son Bill Barney of Pahrump, NV, his son Robert Barney of Bountiful, UT, his son Ben Barney of Pahrump, NV, along with eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his two sisters Marie and Linda.
