Richard was born on August 15, 1939 at Cottonwood Maternity Hospital in Murray, Utah. He passed away on July 28, 2018 at home due to incidents of age. His first home was in Bingham Canyon, Utah and was mostly a life-long resident of Utah. Richard was a member of the LDS Church, ordained a High Priest.

Richard is the son of Jesse Lynn Booth (Midvale) and Alta Lyle McCloy Booth (Murray), who preceded him in death.

Richard is survived by his former spouse, Marian Salmon (Alberta Canada); six children: Kathy Booth, Suzy Lance (Tony), Rick Lynn Booth, Daniel Mitchell Booth (Emma), Michael Booth (Angelica) and Wendy Tui; 13 grandchildren; and siblings, Bette Stokes, Russell Booth (Nina), and Shirley Michael.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 3, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wilford LDS Ward Chapel, 3179 S. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment: Murray City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Utah Cancer Society in Richard's name.
