A man whose heart was pure and without guile.

Richard Keel Hutchins was born on January 4, 1935 to Elmer and Louva Keel Hutchins. On August 1, 2016, he passed peacefully into the next life after patiently battling the effects of Parkinson's Disease for over 17 years.

He was raised in Rush Valley, Utah and graduated from Tooele High School. He joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged after serving two years. He married Barbara Jefferies in the Salt Lake Temple December 7, 1956. He graduated from Utah State University then moved to Grantsville, Utah where they raised their family. He worked at Hercules for over 33 years. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in all the organizations of the church, including bishop.

Those who will miss him will be: his "Sweetheart", Bobbie Hutchins, his children, Mark & Tamee Hutchins, Jeri & Kevin Butler, Jeff & Krista Hutchins, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, siblings, Calvin & Luana Hutchins, Dolores Bracken and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, Calbert and Chleo Fidler Jefferies and great-granddaughter, Gracie Hope Critchlow.

Funeral services will be held on August 5, 2016 at Noon in the Grantsville LDS West Stake Center (115 E. Cherry Street, Grantsville, UT). There will be a viewing the night before from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the same location and again prior to the services from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Grantsville City Cemetery.
