Some of his favorite hobbies included playing with the family dogs, watching the History Channel and preparing for tax season.
“Great is the art of beginning, but greater is the art of ending.”
He often challenged his daughter, Julie, to a game of chess, always coming out the victor. He spent many happy moments with his daughter, Amy, analyzing current events and passing on his many home improvement tips and tricks. He cherished the moments he spent with his son, Michael, tending to the household garden, maintaining the family vehicles and advising him upon financial investments.
He was known for his unique birthday toasts, spectacular firework shows, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
