Robert Hal Rosquist, beloved brother, uncle, and friend departed this world on October 3, 2023, at IHC Hospital in Murray, Utah, due to complications arising from a blood clot. Robert was born on August 9, 1955 to Robert Hal and Frances Julia Rosquist. He was born at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. In his passing, Robert leaves behind a legacy of extraordinary kindness and warmth, despite his somewhat reserved nature.
Throughout his career, Robert dedicated himself to Midwest Office Supply, serving in various capacities within their warehouse for many years. His strong work ethic and commitment to his responsibilities were evident to all who worked alongside him.
In his leisure time, Robert found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a special fondness for animated cartoons, with Spongebob Squarepants holding a special place in his heart. He was an avid follower of sports, passionately supporting the Utah Jazz, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Seattle Seahawks. Robert's adventurous spirit also led him to explore the delights of the movie theater and other exciting destinations.
Robert's playful nature shone through in his love for teasing his siblings, demonstrating his deep affection for them. Moreover, he exhibited compassion by offering his unwavering support to his sister Kay during a challenging period in her life.
Robert is survived by his siblings, Mary Lou (Byron) Davis, Ila Jean (Chris) Keele, Edna Kay Hakala, Ray (Paula) Baca, and 17 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Hal and Frances Julia, as well as his nephew, Benjamin Davis.
A celebration of Robert's life will take place on October 6, 2023, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, located at 1950 E 10600 S in Sandy. The services will include a viewing at 1 pm and a graveside service at 2 pm.
