Jul 16, 1944 Jul 11, 2026

Sharon Adams, of St George, Utah passed away on July 11, 2026, just shy of her 82nd birthday.

She was born on July 16, 1944, in Cedar City, Utah, to Oren and Nellie (Judd) Adams. From an early age, Sharon developed a love for the outdoors and nature. She spent a lot of time exploring the hills with her parents and her brother, Clair. She was never afraid to get her hands dirty, shoot a gun, or help care for the animals that were always part of their family life.

Sharon attended Cedar High School, where she was active in school activities and made many friends. She was Home Coming Queen and Student Body Secretary her senior year. She was a talented seamstress, often making her own clothes. She was also known for having perfect eyebrows and hair. She went on to attend the College of Southern Utah and later completed Beauty school.

She married Bobby Kay Knell, and his career took them to various places including Northern Utah, Nevada and Arizona. Together they had one daughter, Kristina, before divorcing.

She later met Jack Warburton through a friend. They married in 1980 and moved to Rawlins, Wyoming where Jack worked for the Railroad. They enjoyed being outdoors and had many experiences that could only be had far off the beaten path. Fishing, hunting and hiking were activities they did together as a family. While they later divorced, she never lost the appreciation for her time there.

Sharon spent the remainder of her life in St. George, Utah, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant for Gentiva Health Services. She enjoyed volunteering with the St. George Marathon and found great satisfaction in serving those who participated. She was immensely proud of her grandchildren and often told others how wonderful they were.

She was a gifted artist, finding joy and satisfaction in the creative process. She loved drawing, carefully refining each piece until it reflected the vision she had imagined. She created many pieces throughout her life that bring joy to those who have them.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Oren and Nellie Adams, and her nephew, Bruce Adams.

She is survived by her beloved brother, Clair (Anita) Adams, and their son, Douglas; her daughter, Kristina Stokes, and her husband, John; and grandchildren, Jake (Lepeka), Scott and Kaylee.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Cedar City Cemetery.
