Stephanie Laura Canfield, 39, of Cedar City, Utah, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026. She was born December 17, 1986, in St. George, Utah, to Chris Cowley Canfield and Julie Hall.
Stephanie was born and raised in Southern Utah and graduated from Hurricane High School. She had a creative soul. She wrote poetry in her younger years and loved to sing.
Stephanie never met a stranger. She was warm, quick-witted, and sure of who she was, with a spark in her that everyone who knew her felt. She loved hard and stood by her people fiercely once you were hers, you were hers for life.
Above all else, Stephanie was a mother. Graycen, Madilynn, and Jazmyn were the center of her world, and she loved them fiercely and completely. Being their mom was the thing she was proudest of, and the love she gave them is the part of her that stays.
Stephanie is survived by her children, Graycen, Madilynn, and Jazmyn; her sisters, Kimberlie (Adam) Raymond, Jamie Greening, and Charnell Price; her father, Chris Canfield; and her grandmothers, Carlyn Hall and Elaine Canfield.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Julie Hall; her brother, Brenten Canfield; and her grandfathers, William Elmer Hall and Jack Canfield.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Dixie Regional Medical Center for the care and kindness they showed Stephanie through her ongoing health issues and in her final days.
Stephanie will be cremated and laid to rest beside her mother at the Town of Leeds / Silver Reef Protestant Cemetery. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
Professional services were under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah. 435-673-2454.
