Susan "Susie" Elizabeth Looser

Sep 21, 1954 Nov 24, 2022

Susan Elizabeth Looser, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away early Thanksgiving morning 11/24/22 due to a sudden and short illness.

She was born in Salt Lake City 9/21/54 to Joseph and Elizabeth Looser who preceded her in death.

She was the middle child of five siblings with two older brothers Thomas (Mary) and David and two younger sisters Ruthie and Heidi.

She was an aunt to fourteen nieces and nephews Anne Marie, Michael, David, Stephanie, Derek, Jennifer, Rebecca, Christopher, Victoria, Nicholas, Kamie, Chase, Melissa, and Joshua. She was also a great aunt to many more.

She enjoyed sharing her countless talents. She was especially accomplished in music, playing the piano, guitar, and singing. She loved performing and being part of a choir.

She appreciated and was proud of her Swiss heritage, traveling to Switzerland to spend time with her grandparents and other extended family members.

She was intelligent and earned exceptional grades in school and was particularly good at math and numbers. This led to a career in the banking and title industries, working many years as an escrow officer which brought her joy and many lifelong friends.

Later, she held a position with the State Corrections Division. This was at times a challenging position, but she flourished. She was proud of her career accomplishments.

In her personal life she paid particular attention to detail, never missing a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or holiday. She planned well in advance for these occasions, making sure to send a card with a thoughtful message from "Aunt Susie". The card was always followed up with a phone call. She was not fond of texting but preferred hearing a voice on the phone, looking forward to a returned voicemail message.

In turn, she cherished and kept the cards and announcements sent to her.

Holding onto these special memories meant the world to her.

These things and many other kind acts show how much she cared and was genuinely interested in the lives of her family and friends.

Her regular calls to check in and touch base to catch up on current events will be greatly missed. We love and miss you "Aunt Susie" and appreciate all you did.

Celebration of life planned with more to come.
