Sylvia Ann Douglas Daniels

June 22, 1942 - November 21, 2025

Sylvia Douglas Daniels passed away peacefully in the early hours of November 21, 2025, surrounded by love.

She was born June 22, 1942, in Murray, Utah to Gordon Douglas and Ruby Losser Douglas. She was the oldest of six children, Nancy Morgan (Ken), Diane Ries, Carrie Bruno, David Douglas (Gina), and Debbie Douglas.

Food was an important part of Sylvia’s life. She worked for many years at Cottonwood Hospital overseeing their food services. She was always trying new recipes for her children to try. She loved hosting Christmas Eve surrounded by her children and grandchildren. In her later years she loved reading recipe books and imagining hosting dinner parties again.

Sylvia loved being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and always looked forward to their visits.

She is survived by Steven Daniels (Karen), Susan Houghton, Michael Daniels (Brooke), and John Glenn. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen Glenn and former husband, Dennis Daniels.

Sylvia relocated to Southern Utah to live with her son and daughter-in-law, however, her heart was always in Murray, Utah where she will be laid to rest. A celebration of life will take place on a later date.

We love you Mom and will keep your Chinese food warm and your diet coke cold.
