Ted E. White died peacefully at home on December 31, 2015, from interstitial pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 82. He was born November 7, 1933, the seventh of eight children born to Emory White and Lucile Cowley White in Cleveland, Utah.
Ted moved to Idaho to live with his oldest brother on a farm. There, he met and married the neighbor girl, Nelda Gough on July 3, 1952. They moved back to Cleveland where Ted went to work in the Hiawatha Coal Mine. He served two years in the Army, he then worked in construction for a few years before being hired with Bountiful City Street Dept. in 1970. When he retired after 26 years, he and Nelda became snow birds wintering in Parker, Arizona for eight winters.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, daughter Lisa (Jerry) Rose, sons Wesley (Nannette), and Casey (Daphne), nine grandchildren and eight and three-quarters great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Isabell, brothers LaVar, Jack, Bill, Bobby, and Frank.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may visit family Friday, Jan. 8th from 6-8 pm and 9:45-10-45 am prior to services. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful.
