Theresa Louise Graff

Dec 6, 1937 Mar 22, 2026

Theresa Louise Graff, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on March 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Theresa was born on December 6, 1937, in Richfield, Utah, the sixth of seven children born to John Steiner Houston and Della Prince Houston of Panguitch, Utah. Raised in a close-knit and faithful family, she was taught the values of hard work, devotion, and love of God from an early age. Her childhood was filled with joy, creativity, and adventure—singing, dancing, writing poetry, and organizing performances for family and friends. She developed a lifelong love for music, the outdoors, and her faith.

In 1950, her family relocated to St. George, Utah, where Theresa spent her formative years. Though the transition was challenging at first, she quickly formed lasting friendships and became deeply involved in school and community life. She participated in music, drama, sports, student government, and served as a cheerleader. She graduated from Dixie High School with honors in 1956.

Following graduation, Theresa spent a summer working in Los Angeles, California, an experience that broadened her horizons and strengthened her independence. She later returned to St. George to continue her education and remain close to family.

Theresa’s life was forever changed when she met Lloyd Graff. Their courtship grew into a deep and enduring love, and they were married in June 1957. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work. Through the years, they were blessed to welcome five beautiful children into their family.

Theresa was a devoted mother who created a warm and loving home. She nurtured her family with kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication. Whether supporting her children’s activities, serving in her church, or caring for others, she gave selflessly of her time and talents. She also faithfully served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Lloyd in Scotland, a cherished experience that reflected her deep testimony and love of the gospel.

She is remembered for her warmth, creativity, resilience, and deep devotion to her family and her Savior. Her faith guided her life and was evident in her service, her relationships, and her enduring example.

Theresa is survived by her beloved husband, Lloyd Graff; her children, George (Marlyn), Teryl (John Littell), Curtis (Annette), and Travis (Tiffany); her sister, Virginia; 22 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Terese, who passed away in a tragic accident at the age of five; and her brothers, Prince, Stan, Don and Clark Houston and her sister Beth.
