Mesquite, Nevada — Toni Ray Gray, 47, passed away on June 24, 2026. She was born on September 9, 1978, in St. George, Utah, to Mark Gray and Terrie Henrie.
Toni was raised in Logandale, Nevada, by her beloved grandparents, Richard Barnes and Bonnie Barnes Crawford. She graduated from Moapa Valley High School and, following graduation, moved to Mesquite, where she began her career as a chef at the Oasis Hotel & Casino. Through hard work and dedication, she became the executive chef overseeing all of the property's restaurants for many years. She later managed the restaurant at the Oasis Golf Club.
Above all else, Toni loved her children. She cherished talking with them, hearing about their day, and simply spending time together. Whether it was going to the movies, bowling, going out to dinner, or just enjoying each other's company, her children were her greatest joy and her very best friends.
She also treasured time with her family. She loved visiting her mom, looked forward to her daily phone calls with her grandma, and enjoyed every opportunity to gather with family and friends. Her nieces and nephews thought of her as a second mom, and some of their favorite childhood memories were spending time at Aunt Toni's house. She had a warm heart, a kind spirit, a genuine laugh, and a beautiful smile that will be remembered by everyone who knew her.
Toni is survived by her children, daughter Preslie Gray, sons JJ Stephenson, and Nash Stephenson, and stepdaughter Edith Stephenson, all of Mesquite, Nevada; her mother and step father Paul and Terrie Henrie; her father, Mark Gray; her older sister, Erin Gray of Salt Lake City, Utah; her older brother, Chad (Melissa) Gray of Cedar City, Utah; her younger sisters, Nicole (Guy) Bradshaw of Maybell, Colorado and Niki (Hampton) Copeland of Eagle Mountain, Utah; her grandmother Bonnie Crawford of Kanab, Utah; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 10th, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Resort in Mesquite, Nevada.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Terrie Henrie through Venmo at @Terrie-Henrie.
Toni's greatest legacy is the love she gave to her children, family, and friends. Her smile, laughter, and caring heart will be remembered always, and her memory will continue to bring comfort to all who loved her.
