Vincent John Raia

Jun 30, 1956 Jun 17, 2025

We are saddened to announce the loss of our beloved, Vincent John Raia, who passed on June 17th 2025. Vincent was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 30th 1956. He was the son and grandson of European immigrants, and was very proud of his Italian and Gottscheer heritage. His family moved to Utah in 1964, and he graduated from Skyline Highschool in 1974. Vincent attended college at San Francisco State where he obtained an Associate's degree in Audio Visual Technology.

One of his main passions in life was football, which he started playing at 12 years old. Vincent was an offensive lineman at Skyline Highschool and also received a football scholarship to play at Saddleback College where he made the Dean's List. He was a DIEHARD San Francisco 49ers fan; attending many games and had season tickets during Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, and Steve Young.

In his free time, he enjoyed building scale model military planes, tanks, vehicles, and helicopters. He started his hobby in his youth and continued to build them throughout his life. He took his time with each one and proudly displayed them throughout his home.

Vincent always knew how to light up a room with his charismatic nature and extreme sense of humor. He could spark up a conversation with anyone, and made a friend anywhere he went. He would do anything to put a smile on someone's face if he knew they were having a bad day. One of his many talents were all the different voices and characters he could do, which always made everyone laugh.

Vincent was an extremely caring father and loving grandfather. He loved his girls with his whole heart and his grandchildren meant the entire world to him. He will be missed so much.

Vincent is survived by his daughter; Gabriella (Cody), his three granddaughters; Anna, Bailey, and Carly, and his brother; Jonathan (Pamela). He is preceded in death by his Father (Jack Raia) and his Mother (Anna Morscher Raia).

We will be having a celebration of life on July 11th.
