Viola Karen Potter Marsh

Jan 26, 1942 Mar 9, 2022

Kearns, UT –

My beloved mother, Viola Karen Potter Marsh passed away on Wednesday, March 9th, 2022. Mom was born on January 26th, 1942 to John Lewis Potter and Mary Viola Smith Potter.

Mom had five brothers, Gene, Gerald, Jay, Delbert, and Bobby (who passed away as a baby ) Mom had two children, Robert John Gull, who passed away on January 18th, 2000, and Leigh Ann Gull. Mom married Philip Dale Marsh on July 26th, 1968. They remained married 42 years until Phil passed away on July 4th, 2010.

I came to live with mom in 2011 so she wouldn’t be alone. Mom had many talents. She loved to crochet and made many beautiful blankets, doilies, baby blankets, baby dresses, sweaters, etc. Mom loved to garden vegetables and flowers. Our yard was very beautiful for many years because of her. She kept it beautiful until she got older and could no longer keep it up. Mom loved music, reading, coloring, painting, she also loved to sew so she made a lot of my clothes as a teenager as well as her own.

Mom was a wonderful grandma and great-grandma. She is blessed with two grandchildren, Kalani ( Kallie ) Anjelica ( Levi ), and five great-grandchildren, Dillan, Michael, Gracie, Xander, and Xamiah. She loved every second of being a grandma and great-grandma.

Mom is very loved and will be missed by all that knew her.

A memorial service for my mom will be held on March 26th, 2022 at the 21st ward from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, with a lunch following the service. Address is 5720 South 4270 West. In lieu of flowers, donations to help Leigh Ann are preferred.
