In Loving Memory of Wendy Staheli
Wendy Staheli, born on December 14, 1962, in St. George, Utah, passed away on September 29, 2024. Wendy had a unique ability to bring joy to even the simplest moments. Her vibrant spirit was unforgettable—whether it was her love of the color purple, her legendary foot rubs, rocking out to heavy metal music, or her endless popsicle stick jokes that never failed to bring a smile. As a devoted Denver Broncos fan, her passion for the team mirrored her lively energy, she lived life to the fullest, with a carefree charm that brightened everything around her simply by being herself.
Her love for family was boundless. She went out of her way to bring joy to those she cared about, ensuring her family always knew how much she loved them.
Her heart belonged to Pep Hendrix, the love of her life. Together, they navigated life’s ups and downs with unwavering love. Wendy’s greatest pride came from being a devoted mother to her daughter, Heidi, and a proud grandmother to her granddaughter, Rikky. Her bond with her parents, especially her father, who was her best friend, and her close relationships with her mother and siblings, meant the world to her. Wendy’s nieces and nephews also held a special place in her heart, and she was always their biggest cheerleader.
Wendy never missed an opportunity to make others feel special, especially when it came to birthdays. Whether through a loudly belted-out heartfelt song or a thoughtful phone call, her presence made every occasion in someone's life special and every gathering warmer and more joyful.
Wendy never needed much, but she always gave. One of her unique gestures was the scrubbies she would crochet by hand and gift to friends and family. These thoughtful creations were a symbol of her caring nature—always finding small, meaningful ways to show her love and appreciation.
Her creativity knew no bounds—whether she was beading, crocheting, or bedazzling, she was always making something magical. She just couldn't be idle, and sharing her creations with those she loved was her true delight. She was always bubbling over with excitement about her latest passion, a new show, movie, or craft, and her boundless enthusiasm was the real treasure, drawing everyone into the joyful world she created.
In her work at Moore Business Forms and Dixie Printing, as well as her ventures with Staheli Catering and her antique shop, Wendy’s creativity and dedication touched everyone she encountered. She was a fantastic listener, and was always fully present in every conversation, giving her undivided attention to those around her. She made sure people felt how much she cared, not just through her words but through the way she made each person feel valued and important.
Through both the light and dark times, Wendy’s spirit remained full on. She didn’t let hardships take away her laughter or warmth; instead, she embraced life with her whole heart, always managing to lift those around her with humor and love. Our family will never be the same without Wendy’s radiant energy, joyful laughter, and comforting hugs. She has filled our lives with love, care, and countless treasured moments, leaving us with memories we will hold in our hearts forever.
Though Wendy may no longer be with us, the love and joy she shared will continue to shine in our hearts. Her memory will live on through the gifts she gave, the laughter she brought, and the warmth she left behind. We will miss her deeply, but we find peace in knowing that one day, we will meet again, sharing stories, hugs, and the light that was uniquely hers.
Survived by her beloved partner, Edgar Joseph “Pep” Hendrix, her daughter Heidi Hunt, and granddaughter Rikky Haws. She is also lovingly remembered by her parents, George and Kathy Staheli, and her siblings: Lesli Walker (Darin Walker), RaeLee Curtis (Bruce Curtis), Krista Sagers (Matt Sagers), Mardee Johnston (Jed Johnston), Brenda Jo Jackson (Roy Jackson), Robbie Staheli (Janet Staheli), Trent Staheli (Andi Staheli), and Kathy Jo Staheli (Tanner Rosenthal), along with 86 nieces and nephews.
