William “Bob” Henry Hopson, 68, passed away on May 15, 2021, in St. George, Utah. He was born on March 10, 1953, in Memphis, Tennessee to Sam and Elnora Hopson. He married Ruth Dominguez on May 18, 1991.
Bob worked for Ence Construction for 6 years then moved to Salt Lake City where he worked for Geneva Rock for 18 years before retiring. He was willing to try and home business. He like camping, fishing, exploring National Parks but most of all he loved his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his son tony Hopson, daughter Tracey (Tony) Brown, stepchildren Mark (Tracey) Nielsen, Ronda (Michael ) Miller, Travis (Teri) Kummer, Matthew (Teri) Kummer and Michelle (Nathan) Durham along with lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers Mott, Ed and Robert Earl, 3 sisters Sarah, Lois and Jen and one step daughter Julia.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 11 am at the Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary and Cemetery, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah, 84070. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services. Masks are encouraged at the service along with social distancing if possible, services will be streamed via zoom for those unable to attend.
