Born on November 15, 1970, in Provo, Utah, Marc was the eldest son of William Brent and Jeanne (Van Blankenstein) Pendleton. Marc graduated from Abington Heights High School in Pennsylvania and participated in scouting, earning the rank of Eagle Scout. At age 19, he served as a full-time missionary in the Tallahassee Florida Mission.

After his mission, Marc went on to pursue higher education, earning an associate's degree from Salt Lake Community College, a BS in Business Management and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He excelled in his career as a Senior Project Manager of large commercial building construction.

Marc married his eternal companion, Cynthia (Cindy) Christensen on June 17, 1995. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and have 5 children: Jacob, Ethan (Abbie), Grant, Cambrie, and Ella. Marc was a caring and loving father who was deeply involved in his family's lives and cherished his role as a father. He was also a dedicated husband, son, brother, and uncle.

A lifelong and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Marc found solace and strength in his religious beliefs. Service was very important to Marc throughout his life and he served in various callings at church. These included young men's president, elders quorum president, gospel doctrine teacher, seminary teacher, a counselor in the bishopric, primary teacher, and most recently a high councilor.

In his free time, Marc enjoyed time with family, supporting his kids in their activities, quietly serving others, music, working out, abstract photography, spending time by the ocean, and maintaining the family's cars.

Marc is survived by his parents, wife and their children. He is also survived by his siblings: Kristi Phillips (Scott), Kevin Pendleton (Cindy), Wendi Pendleton, Sheri Salazar, and David Pendleton (Amber); in-laws, Will Christensen (Julie) and Marie Anderson (Chris). Marc was adored by his 20 nieces and nephews.

Marc was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Richard and Evelyn Pendleton, Marinus and Jeanne Van Blankenstein; Cindy’s parents, Otto and Geraldine Christensen; and brother-in-law, John Salazar.

Marc will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.

The family would like to thank the paramedics, ER, and ICU medical teams at Mountain Point Hospital who attended to him around the clock.
